Business Advocacy

The Auburn Area CONNECT Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business for the Auburn, Algona, and Pacific region. We keep our eyes and ears on the legislative process at the local, state and federal level and directly advocate for pro-business policies that support our member businesses and the wider business community.

Through regional collaboration with the South Sound Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition (SSCCLC), Auburn Area Connect works with other chamber professionals in the South Puget Sound region to advocate in Olympia, as a collective voice, in support of the business community. Through the Coalition, we work in unity with other chambers to represent the business community in South King County and North and East Pierce County (collectively known as "The South Sound") to advocate for local, regional, and Washington State business-related legislation and public policy that is in the best interests of the business community. The Coalition enables our business members to speak with a unified voice.

Through our legislative advocacy, we work hard to ensure that our business members remain up-to-date on pending legislation that may impact their businesses. During each legislative session, we provide weekly updates available on our website at auburnareawa.org/blogs. We also invite our business members to engage in direct advocacy and to reach out to Auburn Area CONNECT for assistance and support.
